Lectures delivered in the course will help to furnish answers to the fundamental question of the reasons and implications of MENA instability, which in turn brings about a high level of international insecurity. Therefore, the most important part of the course is related to the contemporary conflicts which affects MENA region and the world as a whole – like the war in Syria; the Saudi-Iranian conflict over supremacy in the Middle East and the long-lasting Israeli-Palestinian conflict which is deeply rooted in Middle Eastern politics. Completion of the course will enable students to make a critical analysis of the multi-dimensional MENA environment and help them to understand the complexity of the MENA region.
