This course answers the questions which arise in the security environment of Asia and the Pacific, including its theoretical background, determinants of the problem, and providing an introduction to geography, demography, socio-cultural, economic and strategic situation of the region, including the role of the PRC, Japan, the Korean Peninsula, Southeast Asia, and the United States. Upon completion of the course, students should understand and be able to assess security challenges in the region, as well as critically suggest solutions for those challenges.
