The main aim of the module is to analyse contemporary migration processes from the twin perspectives of internal and external security. The European migrant crisis will be discussed, as well as examples from all over the world (such as immigration to the United States and migration in China). Students will gain knowledge concerning the genesis, evolution, consequences and managing of migration. In addition, students will gain the requisite skills to examine this phenomenon using the theoretical framework of political science, international relations and security studies.
