The course looks into the multifaceted relationship among poverty, growth, inclusion and the role of international financial institutions in relation to their involvement in aid and development in the global scene. It will deal with the post-1945 international economic order and all related political economic approaches. Several cases will be connected to Africa and the developing world. While students will be provided with knowledge to better understand the changing global economic order and the issue of poverty, they will acquire more political economic analytical skills to foster research about development and aid.
