This course aims to furnish students with essential knowledge of current topics related to the security and development. Security will be analysed from its broader perspective – embracing the concepts of the nation state, energy supply, environment, conflicts, organized crime, human security, as well as physical and mental security. Students will also gain knowledge of contemporary and classic theoretical approaches helping to understand Security and Development issues. Course topics are divided into lectures and seminars.
