Slawomir Wycislak, Ph.D., works at the Department of Quality Management at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. His main area of scientific studies has been researching complex systems for about 20 years and applying systems thinking to solve complex issues. His studies focus on exploring the implications of complexity for digitization and researching the contagion effect in complex systems. His recent studies apply the paradox theory to understand decision-makers' behaviors amidst disrupted changes in the complex world. Parallel to working in academia, he has almost 20 years of experience with multinationals and medium and small businesses. Specifically, he blended practical experience while deploying digital technologies to optimize lean and agile practices for over ten years in companies of various sizes.
