Jorge L. Collantes

Jorge L. Collantes

Jorge L. Collantes is a Visiting Scientist at the Centre for International Studies and Development (CISAD) of the Jagiellonian University.

Graduated in Law from the UIC-Barcelona (Spain) and with a Master in International and Europe Law from the University of Nice (France), he is Doctor in Law from the UPVD (France) and his degree of Doctor is recognized in equivalence by the Carlos III of Madrid University. As a doctoral student in France, he served as Teaching Assistant of Union Europe Law and he has been also a visiting researcher at the Ottawa University (Canada), the Stradins of Riga University (Latvia), the University of Vilnius (Lithuania) and the Trnava University (Slovakia).

At the Bar Association of Barcelona (ICAB), he is Director of the Postgraduate Course in Diplomatic and Consular Law and Director of the Postgraduate Course in Investment International Law. He has also accumulated academic experience lecturing Private International Law at the UIC-Barcelona, International Criminal Law and Human Rights at the European University of Madrid, and International Arbitration and Diplomatic Law at the School of Legal Practice of the ICAB.

In 2023, he has been Academic Director of The World Congress of International and European Criminal Law in Spanish, Academic Director of The International Arbitration Congress of the Biblioteca de Arbitraje and Academic Director of The World Meeting on Private International Law in Spanish.

Likewise, he is Director of a Encyclopedia of Arbitration, Director of a Digital Dictionary of International and European Criminal Law and Director of a Digital Dictionary of Private International Law (all in Spanish).
