Name: Jakub Żurawski

About: Jakub’s been working as an assistant professor at the Jagiellonian University. His main research interest focus on political communication and the role of media for political processes. Many of his projects, as well as courses taught, focus on the importance of the development of new forms of digital communication for a democratic country and modern society, including the newly established information society. Apart from scientific work, he also cooperates with Ancla Consulting agency, and worked as the journalist for marketing-news.pl

 

Main academic/research interest:

•             political communication,

•             the role of new media for political processes,

•             political campaigns and the topics of and political marketing, seen as contemporary and constantly evolving formulas establishing the relationship between political elites and the citizens;

•             importance of the development of new forms of digital communication for a democratic country and modern society, including the newly established information society.

•             the impact of information technology on the functioning of one of the constitutive elements of a democratic state - the general election.

Hobbies: heavy metal, beginnings of Poland as the state
