Jakub Stefanowski holds a MA in international relations from the Institute of Political Sciences and International Relations (Jagiellonian University). He is an Assistant Researcher, employed within the framework of project entitled “Promoting Order at the Edge of Turbulence (POET)”, which is runned by Prof. Dr. Emilian Kavalski. Apart from the position in CISAD, he also works as a Purchasing Specialist for US market in a transnational, biotechnological corporation. For several years he was a research assistant in project entitled “North-East Asia Community in the context of cooperation and rivalry between the powers of the region”, which was led by Prof. Marcin Grabowski. He also worked for international investment bank in securities operations department and as Programme Coordinator within the Centre for International Studies and Development. He was an intern in the European Parliament, East Analytics (business consultancy company) and Regional Office of Westpomeranian Region in Brussels. As Assistant Researcher he tries to adapt best practices of private sector into academia. His research interests are focused on global supply chains, international trade, economic globalization and the role of international institutions in the above mentioned phenomena.
