Horizon Europe Weeks workshops on ‘International Relations and Diplomacy in the Post-Pandemic World: The International Relations and Public Diplomacy Program

Horizon Europe Weeks workshops on ‘International Relations and Diplomacy in the Post-Pandemic World: The International Relations and Public Diplomacy Program’ started today! The workshops, held from 15 to 17 September, are the first fully hybrid meeting within this-year edition of the HEW Initiative. The participants – all in all 40 people, both in-site and online - were warmly greeted by Prof. Marcin Grabowski, Director of Center for International Studies and Development, and by Prof. Paweł Laidler, Dean of the Faculty, who explained the idea behind the HEW initiative and also expressed their great satisfaction with being able to gather in such a large number in the hybrid mode.

Guests from Italy, Germany, Ireland, China and the UK, together with the researchers from the Jagiellonian University, joined by their online partners from Portugal, Ireland, the Netherlands, Finland, Ukraine, Japan, Latvia, Hungary, Cape Verde, Czech Republic, Switzerland and the UK are spending three fruitful days in the beautiful interiors of the Turówka Hotel & SPA in Wieliczka in order to strengthen international research cooperation by discussing innovative research concepts and developing a common strategy for future international projects and grants.

The International Relations and Public Diplomacy (IR-PUB) is a new international and English-language master's degree program, lasting for 4 semesters, implemented by the funds of the Katamaran program of the National Agency for Academic Exchange (from the Knowledge-Education- Development Operational Program: POWER). The programme is implemented in partnership between Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland and University of Siena in Italy.
