The Europe of Elites Who Are Still to Come Prof. Verzichelli honorary lecture during ISAD graduation ceremony

This year graduation ceremony will take place on 13th September during first day of Conference: International Relations and Diplomacy in the Post-Pandemic World: The International Relations and Public Diplomacy Program Conference and Study Trip. The conference is an integral part of the project implemented by the Centre for International Studies and Development from the National Agency for Academic Exchange (Katamaran), which provides for the establishment of the international double-degree MA program International Relations and Public Diplomacy.

On this occasion, Prof. Verzichelli will deliver a lecture The Europe of Elites Who Are Still to Come. Professor Luca Verzichelli is a professor of Political Science at the University of Siena and currently Delegate of the Rector for International Affairs. He has got his PhD in Political Science at the University of Florence. He has studies in Heidelberg, Colchester and Columbia University New York and was Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences (2009-2013), Director of the Master Programme Politics in Europe (2004-2009) Global Governance and Cultural Diplomacy (2013-2017). Author or editor of  17 Volumes. He also published more than 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals and more than 70 chapters in collective volumes. Prof. Verzichelli fields of interest include: political élites and democratic institutions; democratic representation; history of political science.

The International Relations and Public Diplomacy (IR-PUB) is a new international and English-language master's degree program, lasting for 4 semesters, implemented by the funds of the Katamaran program of the National Agency for Academic Exchange (from the Knowledge-Education- Development Operational Program: POWER). The programme is implemented in partnership between Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland and University of Siena in Italy.
