International Law

The aim of the course is to present and discuss the most important terms, concepts, ideas, and processes regarding the functioning of the system of international law. Apart from its theoretical framework, the course aims at analysis of historical and contemporary case law concerning the institutions and subjects of international law, with a special focus on various branches of international law. It is important to acknowledge that, apart from a typical legal approach, the course provides an interdisciplinary perspective for analysis, taking into consideration the approach offered by such disciplines as political science, international relations, and security studies. The lectures will be accompanied by reference to contemporary case studies and a discussion with students about the current challenges of international public law.
