Programme description

"ISAD - International Security and Development" is an international MA programme of studies addressed to Polish and foreign students, mainly from Europe, North America and Asia, and all people who are interested in security and development issues. The programme provides theoretical, specialized knowledge in international security and development cooperation. It aims to foster creative thinking about complex problems of global security and development, as well as to equip students with the requisite analytical tools, language expertise, and cross-cultural understanding. It also helps to gain the professional skills needed for managing global security and development in an international environment.

Graduate’s profile

Graduates of ISAD should be ready to work in a variety of public and private institutions and organizations, both national and international, including governmental and international bodies dealing with development and security issues, as well as non-governmental organizations. In addition, they have a good command of both English and a second language (at B2 level).

International Security and Development

Project goals:

The main goal of the project is to internationalize the education process in Poland and to improve the accessibility of international education programs for beneficiaries from Poland and abroad by developing and implementing a new international second-cycle program entitled "ISAD - International Security and Development".

Cost of the Projects:

The total cost of the project is 1 103 646,39 PLN

The European Union under the European Social Fund ( - Operational Programme Knowledge, Education, Development co-financed the project in the amount of 930 153,18 PLN.


The result of the project is the creation of a unique international education program available to students from Poland and abroad, adapted to the needs of people with disabilities and that takes into account gender equality policies.

The emergence of a new field of study responds to the needs of the labour market in terms of educating specialists in the field of security and cooperation.
