Name: Karol Derwich
Position: Associate Professor at the JU
Ph.D. graduate of the Institute of American Studies and Polish Diaspora at the Jagiellonian University and M.A. graduate in the Center for Latin American Studies at Warsaw University. His main fields of interest include inter-American relations and Latin American politics. Author of such books as Instruments of US Latin American Policy, 1945-2000 (2010) and In the country of Quetzalcoatl. History of Mexico from the conquest to the present times (2014). Co-editor of: Mexico in the 21st Century: Politics-economy-society (2009) and Los derechos humanos en America Latina. Teoria y practica (2014). Violencia en America Latina. Retos y perspectivas para el futuro (2021). Also, he wrote numerous articles related to the contemporary political processes in Latin America.
