Spinaker Winter and Summer Schools

Graphics Spinaker ProgramWe are pleased to announce that the Centre for International Studies and Development received a grant of PLN 798,100 in the program of the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA): SPINAKER - Intensive International Education Programmes.
The project is called Methods, Theories and Realities: System Transformation in the Complexity Perspective.

Its aim is to internationalize the Jagiellonian University in the area of ​​teaching and research potential through the implementation of 4 intensive international educational programs in the form of summer and winter schools for foreign students in the field of comprehensive thinking.
The project will be implemented as winter and summer theoretical and methodological schools in the perspective of the issues of complexity theory, which will enable the enrichment of knowledge and skills crucial for conducting research. Prepared intensive international education programs will take into account theoretical modules and modules related to the challenges of the 21st century, such as the problems of international development, security, and the challenges of individual regions of the world. The courses will be conducted in English, and the project is aimed primarily at foreign students. However, we also encourage Polish students to participate, and the specificity of the project allows you to take advantage of the offer on site in Krakow, as well as online. Foreign lecturers will be involved in the implementation of the project, and research and teaching staff employed in Poland will be able to participate in training and methodological schools to improve their competences.

Scholarships are provided for up to 50 of the participants, which will cover the costs of travel and accommodation for the duration of the courses, and which amount to PLN 2,500 for 5-day winter schools and PLN 4,500 for 10-day summer schools, respectively.
